Are you a renter of public or community housing in Victoria? You're invited to nominate for the Pets At Our Place 2027 Calendar!

The Pets At Our Place calendar project has returned!

This calendar competition is returning in 2027. It celebrates the special bond between renters and their much-loved pets.

The Department of Families, Fairness and Housing is again asking renters to share their stories. You could be chosen to appear in next year’s calendar!

Pets At Our Place shows how pets make our lives better. Pets help us feel happy, calm and loved. They also help bring people together and build strong communities.

Whether your pet is furry, scaly, woolly or has feathers – and anything in between! – we want to hear about them!

Twelve residents will be selected based on written entries. They will be photographed for the Pets At Our Place 2027 calendar. They will also receive:

  • a professional photo of their pet
  • an illustration print
  • a gift voucher
  • a copy of the calendar.

Successful entrants and where to get a free calendar will be shared in late 2026.

To enter, complete the form on the Pets At Our Place calendar webpage.

You can still get the 2026 calendar

You can still download a digital copy of the Pets At Our Place 2026 calendar. The calendars are not for individual sale.

Entrants who appear on the 2026 calendar

Trish and Minnie the Dachshund

Warrnambool / Gunditjmara

‘Minnie’s a toss-up between a cat and a dog, and she’ll give you a hug and kiss when you need it the most. We roll balls back and forth to each other, I hide toys in her bedding for her to dig and find, and we play hide and seek. She’s such a joy.’

Trish and Minnie the Daschund

Lynette and Bev, Sky and Ice the budgies, and Furball the cat

West Footscray / Bunurong Country

‘I love my animals, and enjoy their company so much. The birds are so nice to have in the home, with the chitter chatter in the background.’

Marcia and Buddy the Cat

St Kilda / Bunurong Country

‘I love Buddy very much. He sleeps with me at night and keeps me warm. He sits on the couch with me to watch television and I love that.’
