Twelve public and community housing renters and their pets will feature in the inaugural Pets At Our Place 2025 Calendar as part of a competition launched by the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing.
Pets At Our Place recognises and rewards the great companionship pets provide renters in public and community housing.
The calendar aims to showcase the variety of pets living in public and community housing and the psychological, physical and social benefits of pet ownership.
It is also a way to recognise renters' commitment to fostering a sense of community with the help of their furry, scaley, and feathery pets.
The statewide competition officially opened on Friday 2 August and welcomes nominations until Friday 23 August 2024.
A judging panel will decide which twelve pets and their owners will feature in the calendar based on their written submissions.
The successful nominations will be professionally photographed and featured in the Pets At Our Place 2025 calendar. They will also receive:
- the original professional standard portrait taken by the photographer
- a gift voucher
- a copy of the calendar.
Successful entrants and details on where to collect a free calendar will be announced in late 2024.
