What is HousingVic Online Services?

HousingVic Online Services is the easy and secure way to manage your housing needs.

You link to it through your myGov account.

It’s available 24/7 and even lets you track your maintenance requests.


Use HousingVic Online Services to:

  • submit and track maintenance requests
  • make a rental payment
  • request a statement
  • update your household details and income
  • receive digital mail
  • apply for housing
  • apply for a RentAssist bond loan, and more.

You can link to HousingVic Online Services if you’re a public housing renter or on the Victorian Housing Register.

How to sign in and link HousingVic Online Services to myGov

You can link HousingVic Online Services to your myGov account. You will then need to register for HousingVic Online Services.

  1. If you don’t already have a myGov account, you will need to create an account.
  2. Then sign in to myGov through the myGov website or myGov app.
  3. Go to View and link services
  4. Link HousingVic Online Services.
  5. You will now see HousingVic Online Services as a linked service.

Features of HousingVic Online Services

My Housing

My Housing is where you can view information about your current and past housing services, such as:

  • Victorian Housing Register application 
  • Tenancy
  • Movable unit application 
  • RentAssist bond loan

Housing application

You can view:

  • date your application was received
  • current status of your application
  • effective date of your application
  • household members on your application (if applicable)
  • approved bedroom size (if applicable)
  • local housing office managing your application
  • locational preferences 
  • current housing options
  • current / pending Special Accommodation Requirements for yourself and any other household member on your application (if applicable)

You can update:

  • make changes to your household (update income, remove a household member)
  • update your locational preferences
  • view a summary of the updates you have made to your household
  • receive and respond to notifications from the Department

Tenancy service

You can view:

  • tenancy start date
  • household members in your tenancy (if applicable)
  • rental and maintenance account status
  • local housing office name managing your tenancy
  • direct debit information

You can:

  • make changes to your household (update income, remove a household member)
  • view a summary of the updates you have made to your household
  • receive and respond to notifications from the Department
  • request maintenance
My Account

My Account is where you can view your housing payment information and transactions and request statements.

You can:

  • View an account summary for your current or vacated tenancy or bond loan
  • View your most recent transactions and keep track of your account balances
  • Request account statements to be sent to your myGov inbox or another way you like to receive correspondence
  • Make a payment -  Allows you to make the following payments:
    • Renters can make a payment on their current or previous tenancy account 
    • Residents (with consent of the renter) can make a payment on a current tenancy account (this does not mean the resident has property rights)
    • Bond loan clients can make a payment towards their bond debt
    • Use your VISA or Mastercard debit card to make a payment
    • Make your first payment online when you sign up to a tenancy
My information

My information is where you can view and update some of your personal information.

You can view:

  • Personal details, such as your date of birth, country of birth, language preferences
  • Contact details, such as your residential and postal address, phone numbers and email address
  • Consents, such as Centrelink Confirmation eServices consent and payment consent (if applicable)
  • Information about your current income source (for example Centrelink/Wages)
  • Information about your current supports (for example the support type, when it’s effective from and if you have consented for the department to send copies of letters to this support or not)

Update the following:

  • language preferences
  • Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
  • residential and postal address (if you are living in public housing currently you will not be able to update your residential address)
  • phone numbers
  • email address
  • Centrelink Confirmation eServices consent (if you have not already consented)

View information about the members in your household:

  • if you are a renter in a current tenancy and/or a primary applicant you can view basic information about your household members
Victorian Housing Register application

When you link your myGov account to HousingVic Online Services, you can:

  • Apply for public and community housing
  • View and save applications
  • Apply for a transfer if you are already a Victorian social housing renter

  • View and save applications

Digital mail

Digital mail is a secure way to access your letters through your myGov inbox.

When you link your myGov account to HousingVic Online Services, you can:

  • Select to receive mail about your housing application, bond loan or public housing tenancy
  • View and save your mail in your myGov inbox

Update income and asset information

Public housing renters can view and update the following information using HousingVic Online Services:

  • household income and asset information
  • remove a household member from your tenancy
