6th National Housing Conference
The 6th National Housing Conference is an important event for those involved in affordable housing and homelessness in Australia. As we face the impact of the global financial crisis, a population boom, the ongoing housing affordability crisis and the challenge of assisting more than 100,000 homeless Australians, the housing sector is being presented with an opportunity to respond to these issues.
This year's conference will focus on affordable housing at this critical time when we are focused on a new era of growth in public and social housing.
The theme, "Housing in a new era: building the connections", aims to widen the perspective of current thinking and explore the essential links between housing, people, sense of place, community and nation.
This year’s conference is organised jointly by Department of Human Services - Housing Division and research body, AHURI (Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute).
Don't miss this exciting opportunity.
