Support services

There are a number of services available for tenants who need support or financial assistance.

Social Housing and Advocacy and Support Program

The Social Housing Advocacy and Support Program (SHASP) provides support to public housing tenants and other social housing tenants. SHASP helps tenants access a range of non-government services in their local community, so they know they will get independant help and support.

Discounts and loans

There are a number of ways tenants can get financial assistance when they need to buy things like fridges, washing machines, furniture and computers. There are also concessions available for tenants who may want to participate in government funded training and further education courses.

Concessions

Tenants may also be eligible for other concessions that could help them to pay their utilities bills.
