Housing Week

Last updated: 23 November 2015

Housing Week celebrates the positive contribution public and community housing tenants make to their communities and to Victoria.

When is Housing Week?

In 2015, Housing Week was from 6 to 12 September.

What happens during Housing Week?

During the week, public and community housing residents across the state organise local community events.

Major Housing Week activities include:

  • Announcing the winners of student scholarships
  • Frances Penington and Molly Hadfield awards open for nominations
  • The start of this year's Victoria in Bloom gardening competition.

How can I get involved?

Do you know a public or community housing tenant who goes out of their way to help others and build a strong community? Nominate them for a Frances Penington or Molly Hadfield award.

Enter your garden in the Victoria in Bloom gardening competition.

If you live in public or community housing, why not organise an event with your local community? It could be anything from a barbecue to a photography exhibit or a concert.
