Housing and Community partnerships

In its drive towards A Fairer Victoria, the Victorian Government works to ensure that housing is affordable and available for low income Victorians.

The Department of Human Services – Housing works in partnership with not-for-profit housing agencies to expand the supply of public and social housing for low and medium income Victorians through a number of funding initiatives.

The Victorian Government is committed to building cohesive communities and reducing the gab between disadvantaged areas and the rest of Victoria.

Neighbourhood Renewal brings together the resources and ideas of residents, governments, businesses and community groups to help break the cycle of disadvantage in public and social housing areas.

The Public Tenant Employment Program (PTEP) is supporting public tenants with more training and employment opportunities and assists employers and contractors to find suitable staff for their business needs.
